WELCOME TO CROOKES COUNSELLING
I hope you find the information you require in order to make the decision to access counselling.
Please feel able to contact me if you have any questions or would like to arrange an appointment.
I’m Debbie. I qualified as a Person-Centred counsellor in 2006. I have extensive experience of working with young people aged 16 - 19 years and adults, having managed a counselling service in a Further Education college for 10 years in Preston, Lancashire. I have a broad experience working with a variety of issues and situations in particular anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties and bereavement..
Recently retired, I moved to Sheffield to be near family and now offer counselling privately from my own home in Crookes.
I believe in offering a relationship which has, at its heart, a respect for the individual and a willingness to listen in a non-judgemental way to your situation, difficulties or issues. I believe that you have the answers to the situation or difficulties you are experiencing; by understanding yourself and your situation in a clearer way, you will hopefully be empowered to make choices and decisions to establish a way forward.
Confidentiality will be maintained however I will explain when I may have to breach this to maintain yours or someone else’s safety.
I have extensive experience of working with a wide range of issues, I will always be guided by you as to what you would like to explore.
